אַרְצְכֶ֣ם שְׁמָמָ֔ה עָרֵיכֶ֖ם שְׂרֻפ֣וֹת אֵ֑שׁ אַדְמַתְכֶ֗ם לְנֶגְדְּכֶם֙ זָרִים֙ אֹכְלִ֣ים אֹתָ֔הּ וּשְׁמָמָ֖ה כְּמַהְפֵּכַ֥ת זָרִֽים׃

Euer Land ist öde, eure Städte sind im Feuer verbrannt, euern Boden verzehren in eurer Gegenwart die Fremden: er ist öde wie die Zerstörung [der Städte] der Bösen [Sodom und Gomorrha].
