ויאמר [וָאֹמַ֣ר] לָהֶ֗ם לֹ֣א יִפָּֽתְח֞וּ שַׁעֲרֵ֤י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ עַד־חֹ֣ם הַשֶּׁ֔מֶשׁ וְעַ֨ד הֵ֥ם עֹמְדִ֛ים יָגִ֥יפוּ הַדְּלָת֖וֹת וֶאֱחֹ֑זוּ וְהַעֲמֵ֗יד מִשְׁמְרוֹת֙ יֹשְׁבֵ֣י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם אִ֚ישׁ בְּמִשְׁמָר֔וֹ וְאִ֖ישׁ נֶ֥גֶד בֵּיתֽוֹ׃
Ich sprach zu ihnen: Es dürfen nicht die Tore Jerusalems geöffnet werden bis zur Glutzeit der Sonne, und während sie [in Jerusalem] wachen, sollen die Türen geschlossen bleiben; daran haltet fest. Es wurden aufgestellt die Wachen der Bewohner Jerusalems, jeder auf seiner Wache, und jeder gegen sein Haus.
