ק֣וֹל קוֹרֵ֔א בַּמִּדְבָּ֕ר פַּנּ֖וּ דֶּ֣רֶךְ יְהוָ֑ה יַשְּׁרוּ֙ בָּעֲרָבָ֔ה מְסִלָּ֖ה לֵאלֹהֵֽינוּ׃

Voz que clama en el desierto:  Barred camino á SEÑOR:  enderezad calzada en la soledad á nuestro Dios.

He describes that he hears a voice that rings out, because the prophet sees this as if it already happened, and describes in contrast how at the time where the ringing is quiet for a moment, he heard a voice saying "Proclaim!" (Verse 6), like hurry up and do not wait a minute, as will be explained there.
